1. Kerää ja skannaa service’s terms of use and data protection
You are about to begin using the Kerää ja skannaa service (hereinafter “the Service”). The Service is provided by Suomen Osuuskauppojen Keskuskunta (hereinafter “SOK”) to S Group’s adult co-op members and members of co-op member households. The Service facilitates your buying experience by allowing you to scan products with a scanner provided by S Group. The service is free to use. By accepting this agreement, you accept the terms defined in this agreement.
2. The Service analyses the use of the scanner
The Service carries out automatic decision-making. This means that the Service analyses the use of the scanner and the scanning history. Based on automatic analysis, we can check the products you have scanned or refer you for a random inspection. We may also set one or more additional checks if we consider it necessary based on the information gathered from the use of the scanner and on a case-by-case consideration based on the scan history. The only data source for the Service is the scanning history and behaviour accumulated in the Service.
The Service’s analysis does not make use of S Group’s co-op member and customer register information, or associate any unique identifiers for the Service, apart from the technical identifier of the S-Etukortti card. The Service stores scanning history for as long as is necessary, but no longer than 24 months. The data processed by the Service is saved in S Group’s co-op member and customer register, and the data is processed in accordance with S Group’s co-op member and customer register’s privacy policy.
3. Your responsibility
You are responsible for using a personal S-Etukortti card intended for your use, and you have the right to accept this agreement. You are responsible for carefully ensuring that all products are scanned before you finish scanning. Misuse of the Service may lead to consequences.
4. Other terms
S Group’s My Information service’s terms of use complement and apply to this Service.
At SOK’s discretion, the Service may be terminated or disabled. SOK has the right to remove the Service from your use at any time (such as in cases of misuse). The stores’ scanners are property of SOK and they must be returned after using the Service. There may be errors in the Service, and SOK does not guarantee that the Service will always be available.
5. Rights according to data protection legislation
5.1 Right to access the data
The Service uses information in S Group’s co-op member and customer register. You have the right to inspect the personal data collected by the scanner by sending a data request to tietosuoja.asiakkuus@sok.fi. You may be asked further questions to confirm your identity.
5.2 Right to be forgotten
You have the right to be forgotten. You may send a request for the erasure of personal data collected by the scanner to tietosuoja.asiakkuus@sok.fi. You may be asked further questions to confirm your identity. The data will be erased unless SOK has legal grounds not to do so.
5.3 Right to transmit data
You have the right to have your data transmitted to another system in accordance with current data protection legislation.
5.4 Right to contact data protection authorities
You have the right to contact data protection authorities and the right to file a complaint with the data protection authorities at www.tietosuoja.fi/en/.
