You have legal rights regarding your personal data. This page provides information about these rights.
You can check, print and save a copy of your data in the S Group’s co-op member and customer register by logging in to Oma S-kanava at www.s-kanava.fi/kirjaudu. You can find your saved data under Omat tiedot (My data) > Tarkasta rekisteritietosi (View your register data). Viewing of personal data requires strong authentication using either online banking identifiers or a mobile certificate.
You can also order a copy of the information we have about you using the online form (in Finnish). We will send the data to you by means of a personal registered letter. You can also place an order for a copy of your data by sending an email to tietosuoja.asiakkuus@sok.fi.

We will receive information about any address and name changes directly from the Population Information System, if you have submitted a notification there and you have not submitted a prohibition on the updating of customer register data in the Population Information System.

You have the right to transfer the personal data you have provided to us to another system. You can retrieve your data in our co-op member and customer register in a structured, machine-readable format by logging in to Oma S-kanava. You will find your data under Omat tiedot (My data) > Tarkasta rekisteritietosi (View your register data). You can save the data or send it to another data controller, if you like.
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. You can prevent the use of your data for direct marketing purposes by submitting a direct marketing prohibition. You can prevent the S Group from utilising your data for research survey or telemarketing purposes. You can prohibit the processing of your purchase information (except for the sum total of your receipt). You can also prohibit targeting through channels other than the S Group’s own ones, as well as analytics and profiling on the basis of your customer data.

You also have the right to be forgotten, meaning that you have the right to have your personal data deleted, unless legislation requires us to retain the data. If you do not want us to process your personal data, you can request that part or all of your personal data be removed. Please note, however, that if you are a co-op member, we cannot delete all of your data, as the Cooperatives Act requires that a list of the co-op members is maintained and the Accounting Act requires that records of cash transactions are maintained. Open in separate pageIf we are faced with a personal data breach, you have the right to receive information about it in case the breach might present a high risk to your rights or freedoms. This means, for example, that we must notify you about needing to change your passwords or cancel your credit card due to a data breach.
You have the right to receive information about
- what kind of a personal data breach has occurred
- what are the likely consequences of the data breach
- what we have done, or plan to do, to solve the matter and to mitigate the adverse effects
- where to seek additional information regarding the matter.
We also report any personal data breaches to the data protection authorities.
