We will send emails to co-op members asking them to verify the email address they have provided to us, unless they have already done so. These emails are not phishing messages.
We will ask co-op members to verify the email address they have provided to us. After the verification of the address, we can be sure that the email address included in your data in S Group’s co-op member and customer register is correct and you have access to the email account in question. Address verification offers benefits to customers: verified email addresses ensure that personal bulletins and customer messages reach the correct recipient. We will also be able to offer better customer service when the customer can do business with us by sending messages from a verified email address or reply to our messages sent to a verified address.
You can verify your email address either via the S-mobiili app or by signing into the Oma S-kanava service at www.s-kanava.fi/kirjaudu. In S-mobiili, you can find the address verification option under Minä (“Me”) > Omat tiedot (“My information”). In the Oma S-kanava service, you can find the option under Omat tiedot (“My information”) > Asiakastiedot ja taloutesi tiedot (“Customer and household information”). You can see the email address you have provided to us in the services and change it if necessary. If the address has not been verified, you will be asked to do so by clicking the Vahvista (“Verify”) button. Clicking the button will send a verification code to the email address you have provided. Enter the code into the field reserved for it. At the same time, you can choose to allow marketing by email and on your mobile device. Through Oma S-kanava, you can control the use of your customer data more extensively by defining various prohibitions.
The verification request emails are not phishing messages. We will never send a verification code to the customer in the message in which the customer is asked to verify their address. You will only receive the verification code to the email address you have provided by requesting it (with the “Verify” button) after signing in to S-mobiili or Oma S-kanava. We will neither ask you to provide any personal data when verifying the address, only to enter the verification code sent to you. The verification code will only be valid for a certain period of time. If you do not immediately receive the verification code in your inbox, also check your “spam” and “promotions” folders. The message may have been moved there.
Email address verification may not be possible for all addresses. This includes addresses ending with @iki.fi. If address verification is not possible, you can provide another email address to us. Address verification is not absolutely necessary. However, we will not send information such as Bonus data to unverified email addresses in the future.
